Yup there are. Unlike countries such as the Netherlands, Denmark and Belgium, prostitution is illegal in Trinidad and Tobago.

Under section 46 (j) of the Summary Offences Act  (which relates only to women): any woman loitering about and soliciting passers-by for the purpose of prostitution would be liable to imprisonment for up to two months.

The Sexual Offences Act also makes buying and selling of any sex service illegal in Trinidad and Tobago.

According to section 23 of the Sexual Offences Act:  a person (of either sex) can serve 5 years if caught soliciting sex.

A person who aids in prostitution by exercising control, direction or influence over the movements of a prostitute can also be guilty of an offence and can serve 5 years in prison (according to section 24 of the Sexual Offences Act).

A person who procures another for prostitution (that is, the person who buys the sexual service) is subject to an even stiffer offence and can serve up to 15 years in prison
(according to section 17 of the Sexual Offences Act).

Managing, owning or knowingly leasing property to establish a brothel is also illegal (under section 22 of the Sexual Offences Act) and a person guilty of this can be imprisoned for 5 years.
