MANAGING PARTNER
Cari Chandler-Martin has been practicing as an attorney-at-law in Trinidad and Tobago for 10 years and is also the holder of a Bachelor’s Degree (Hons) in Management Studies with a minor in Finance. She is the Managing Partner of the Aurora Chambers Legal Practice which she founded in 2022 to establish a more all-rounded, professional, comprehensive, and detail-oriented approach to solving client’s legal problems and issues.
Mrs. Chandler-Martin served as an attorney for the Registrar General at the Ministry of the Attorney General and Legal Affairs (AGLA) for almost 8 years. While there she worked as an attorney in the Companies Registry where she dealt with business name registrations, company incorporations, filing of post-registration documents and issuance of certificates and certified copies to companies and businesses. She then served as an attorney in the Litigation Unit where she represented the Registrar General in High Court in matters relating to the ministry for 5 years. She finally served in the Land Registry where she reviewed endorsements requests, issued queries and endorsed Certificates of Title in the Land Registry as well as reviewed and signed certified copies of Deeds, charges, judgments and lis pendens submitted to the Registrar General’s Department. Before leaving to establish her own Law Chambers, she was one of the legal officers assigned to assist with the implementation and execution of the recently launched Property Business Registration System (PBRS) at the Land Registry.
Mrs. Chandler-Martin founded the website LawForAllTT.com in 2020 to educate and inform Trinbagonians about their legal rights and T&T law. She realised that legal information was not readily available in a form that was easy to understand. She decided to fill the gap as she believed it was important for all persons living in Trinidad and Tobago to understand their legal rights as well as the legal rights of others. The Law For All website has since garnered over 100,000 unique visitors and has over 70 articles covering areas such as Family Law, Criminal Law and Constitutional Law. While Mrs. Chandler-Martin enjoys researching and writing on all areas of law, her practice primarily focuses on Property law, Company law, Family law and Will and Probate law.
