Mr. Kyle Fortuné is an Attorney at Law with a broad range of experience. Kyle has established himself as a skilled and versatile legal professional.
He graduated with honours from the University of London with a Bachelor of Laws degree, as well as the University of Westminster, where he earned his Post Graduate Diploma in Legal Practice (LPC) with distinction, following which, he worked as an intern at London based Law Firm New Media Law LLP in the United Kingdom.
He went on to attend the University of West Indies Faculty of Humanities and Education, where he became certified in Spanish and French.
Kyle’s passion for legal education led him to lecture on company law, criminal law, and contract law at K. Beckles and Associates Law Tutors in Port of Spain in September 2014. He has since gone on to become the Course Coordinator for Business and Commercial Law and Prosecution & the Courts at the University of the West Indies Open Campus in St. Augustine.
In addition to his work in legal education, he has also gained experience working in the public sector. He served as a Legal Officer at the Ministry of Legal Affairs in Trinidad and Tobago, where he was responsible for overseeing the Companies, Civil and Land/Deed Registry, as well as representing the Registrar General in a variety of matters in the Family Court and High Court while attached to the Litigation Department of the Ministry.
As both advocate and instructing counsel, he has been involved in a wide range of legal matters, involving contract law, company law, property law, probate law, civil litigation, criminal advocacy, commercial law, and family law.
Outside the world of legal practice and education, Kyle has varied and diverse passions including a wanderlust which has taken him all over the world including to the Arogya Yoga School in Rishikesh, India where he graduated at the level of R.Y.S.200 in 2021 as a certified Yoga Instructor. Kyle has led numerous Yoga classes at various locations throughout Trinidad and continues to conduct bi-weekly sessions mainly based at Hatha & Ashtanga Yoga at Sōzu Haus, Champs Fleurs.
Kyle’s dynamic approach to life and law in addition to his varied and diverse experiences and commitment to excellence continues to make him a valuable asset to his clients and colleagues.
