MY DRIVER'S PERMIT EXPIRED DURING THE COVID-19 PANDEMIC. WHAT DO I DO?

Well luckily, you wouldn't have to do anything because technically your Driver's Permit hasn't yet "expired" - it remains valid.

As a result of the Covid-19 pandemic, amendments were made to the Motor Vehicles and Road Traffic Act. As a result of these amendments, any driving permit issued by the Licensing Authority which expired prior to or during the period between the 27th March of 2020 and the 31st July of 2020 would be valid until the 31st of August, 2020.

In other words, if your Driver's Permit expired on the 29th of March, 2020 (as an example) - it would actually remain valid and could be used until the 31st of August, 2020. So no worries.
