Yes, marital rape is against the law in T&T. A husband (including a common law husband) can be guilty of rape on his wife according to section 4 (5) and section 4 (6) of the Sexual Offences Act.
Additionally, in T&T, a husband (including a common law husband) can be guilty of grievous sexual assault on his wife according to section 4A (3) and section 4A (4) of the Sexual Offences Act.
